About Me
Motherhood did not begin for me the way I imagined it would.
At the end of 2019, I fell pregnant through failed contraception, and in August of 2020, I gave birth to my first daughter sleeping at full term. Her autopsy later showed that she passed away the very day I went into labour. That loss changed me in ways for a long time I could not explain.
Nine months later, I was blessed to fall pregnant again with my daughter, Skylar, who was born in December of 2021. Both pregnancies left me fighting for my own life too, with severe postpartum haemorrhaging requiring emergency surgery.
When I finally came home from hospital, I was navigating the overwhelming reality of becoming a new mum while also grieving the motherhood experiences that had been stolen from me. I was isolated, emotionally exhausted, and deeply alone.
At the same time, my husband was battling his own demons, and for the first two years we moved through life like ships in the night — separating and reconnecting multiple times as we both tried to survive the weight of everything we had endured.
During this season, we also experienced heartbreaking losses within our family. Some people we loved deeply passed away, while others walked away entirely when we needed support the most. Grief, abandonment, motherhood, trauma, and survival all collided at once.
In the middle of my healing journey, I turned to study. Understanding became my way of making sense of pain. I immersed myself in a range of healing modalities, trauma education, nervous system work, and emotional regulation practices. What began as survival slowly became transformation.
I eventually moved into doula work and hypnobirthing, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. While I loved this work deeply, I could still feel something unresolved burning beneath the surface — a deeper calling I had not fully uncovered yet.
The more I healed, the more I realised that so many parents were not struggling because they were failing — they were struggling because they were carrying unresolved trauma, nervous system overwhelm, grief, isolation, and emotional patterns they had never been taught to understand.
Through this process, I found myself again.
Now, I share my journey, my knowledge, and my lived experience with the women and families I support — holding space for those navigating grief, overwhelm, motherhood, nervous system dysregulation, and the deep desire to break generational cycles and find their way back to themselves.
